Kara's passion for all things dance began at the age of five. Her earliest memories are of her creating her own musicals in the back yard with the family pets as her fellow cast members.
Growing up Kara studied ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary,Pilates, singing, and musical theatre. As a teenager her spark for choreography was lit when she began choreographing some of her own performance routines and fondly remembers hours and hours spent in the garage with the music and tap shoes driving her siblings up the wall.
After suffering a fractured sacrum at sixteen, Kara turned her focus to teaching and began her training under the guidance of Dian Parker where she completed her teacher training with the A.T.O.D.
Over her many years of teaching performance and exam work locally, past students of Kara's have had great success in the commercial industry from music videos and cruise ships to Bollywood film sets.
We welcome Kara in 2015 where she will be teaching Jazz classes in Alstonville.

Hayley is our vibrant all-rounder who assists in the office with administration, promotions and marketing and is in training to become a dance teacher under the nurturing guidance of our Studio Directors.
Hayley's background in Dance started at the age of 7 in Sydney at a small, yet strong studio LV Dancers. Here is where she became a seasoned competitor in joining Showgroup, competing all across NSW in over twenty local Eisteddfods yearly and in the National Dance Championships from the age of 10 to 16, taking out National Troupe and Duo titles in Lyrical, Contemporary, Jazz and Acrobatics. After the sad closure of LV Hayley sourced out Vibz, and worked with a talented commercial dancer on her solos which took her back to Nationals one last time at the age of 18 where she won her title in Contemporary, and placed 4th in Lyrical. Her judge Jason Coleman, famously known for being a judge on So You Think You Can Dance personally recommended that she "makes dancing a career".
During school Hayley studied Dance as a subject and was often used as the dancer for HSC students. She also had the honor of taking classes at the Sydney Dance Company and performed in Schools Spectacular.
After school Hayley joined the corporate work-force in online marketing and website management, where she became a Department Manager for the New Zealand sector and later moved to Secretarial work in Recruitment as well as being a qualified Makeup Artist. Alongside this she continued to dabble in her dancing, taking classes were she could and in 2010 she was requested to join the Sydney Roosters cheerleading team via recommendation.
In 2014 Hayley moved from Sydney to Byron Bay, where she was eventually handed the outstanding opportunity to become apart of Dance Lab AU.

Elodie is the devoted mother of two young children, Bonnie and Jude. She is a qualified yoga instructor in various styles and is currently studying to be a
New challenge new practice
Elodie discovered yoga upon her arrival in Australia from New Caledonia in 2000. She immediately found it sharpened her focus and it helped her to adapt and assimilate in a new country, especially her concentration, in learning a new language (English). Going to class and being part of a (yoga) community made her transition to a new life less confusing and stressful.
From practitioner to teacher
Through practice, i became more aware and inquisitive about the physical and mental changes I was experiencing. My curiosity led me to complete my first certificates in Hatha Yoga under Swami Sarasvati from the Australian Yoga Society.
It's at Swami's Health Farm that i experienced the Ashram life for a few months in 2004. This last experience was a real eye opener for me. From there i learned about different yoga Tradition such as Power Vinyasa yoga, Iyengar Yoga & Anusara Yoga.
In 2010 i founded Truyoga, a successful yoga business/studio in Cronulla. Dedication to a young family demanded that I pull back on workload and subsequently sold the business on. I remained on as a Senior teacher at ‘HotYogi’ from 2012-2014.
Elodie's classes are a blend of attention cues, alignment based hatha yoga, physical challenges, and reminders to remain inquisitive about opportunities & possibilities that "yoga-life" can offer.
We don’t come to yoga to be perfect, we come to yoga to make peace with our imperfections!”
